I went on this trail with my two dogs. It was a very easy and quiet boring trail unfortunately. Small part of trail 3 was in woods and nice but the rest is just walking on a mowed path. No shade 90% of the trail.

The trail is easy and relaxing to walk. The people at the homestead are very informative. Summer weekends have blacksmiths working as well. Families with children will enjoy the many farm animals.

Great urban park. You can extend your hike with a side trail that has numerous stairs in the hollows between the residential streets. Access to the street at the end of the side trail can get muddy.

The BEST sunsets I've seen in Indiana are at this park, and in particular, near this trail. Easy flat trail that starts at the parking lot in the very back of the park (by the basketball court and fishing pond). Most of the trail is unshaded, so best to do during the morning or evening. Picnic tables under a large tree by the fishing pond, and plenty of benches along the trail too.

.5 miles of it is under water.

Awesome trail for my first time going hiking! Great scenery and beautiful sights. Next time I’ll come prepared with different shoes since it was muddy which made it slippery.

Beautiful but easy hike nonetheless. Prophestown is always a good time.

Really cool property and site of a county-wide X/C meet between various local high schools this weekend. You can find single track trails here for trail running or mountain biking and wider carriage trails set up for X/C running. There are open fields and spots where you can see the Wabash River. The amphitheater itself is cool too, you can do some "stadium runs" on the steps there if you're up for it. I'd go back here in a minute, a nice place if you're looking for a run off-campus and the opportunity to get closer to Mother Nature! Enjoy!!!

Nice place for a walk, trail run, or mountain bike ( I think it's okay to bike in here ). I was mainly interested in seeing the Tippecanoe River as it's my understanding that the Native American village that was the source of the warriors that attacked Harrison's troops lived in this area. Doesn't seem entirely likely they would have lived on this lowland prairie since it's wet-ish and prone to flooding. There are certainly many options on either side of the Tippecanoe. The trail was flooded this day and it was too risky trying to pass via the fallen trees and timbers so I bushwacked back through the tall grass and eventually found a gooshy crossing to the trail. A cool part of the State Park!

Nice trail that has about a 50/50 split of time in shade compared to the sun. When the water is high/recent rain the eastern portion of the trail could be submerged and possible un-passable. During our hike on this trail on 2 occasions we had to use downed trees to cross water with one of the 2 causing me to go shin deep with one of my steps in water.

Prophetstown State Park charges a small fee to enter. Part of the park showcases a homestead and Indian village. Park up by the welcome area and take in some of the buildings and the apiary (honey was for sale this day and other food). The Indian village is located out in the field, you can do a wide loop or take a more direct route. A cool property and State Park for sure!
