Nice trail, it’s actually part of a mountain bike trail/multi use trail area. There isn’t really much parking at the point where the map says the trail starts. If you drive past the trail head and take the first Road on the left it will take you to “the hub” where all the trails connect. There’s a small sign at that road that says “nature preserve” with an arrow. I actually hiked the “nitro nix” trail which was a little shorter. The two trails connect at two points so you could actually make it a loop hike.

For bikes too, but only saw a couple in the parking lot when I got back. Some ups & downs--wooded--no real views. Good workout.

Great for mountain biking! Served well for a trail run but definitely not hiking. There are some splits that arent easily identified and not all trails are captured in this app.

well maintained trial; however, not blazed well. Easy to get turned around.

Well kept, quiet and peaceful. Beautiful trail, fairly easy to complete, and there are a handful of other trails close by if you want to explore more.

hot, humid and kinda boring

Well tended trail and easy enough for a couple of senior women to manage even in 90 degree heat. Next time will try to do earlier. The creek along the south Nix trail was dry. Would like to comeback when it has water. Lots of shade with a few sunny spots in places.

Nice trail with parking and out houses. There are lots of side trails and loops now, take some water. Easy to kill 4 to 6 hours there.

I ride a single speed mtb and Nitro South offers a great workout. It also helps me with improving my riding because it’s short and becomes familiar after a few laps.

Nice hike. Easy about 30 min hike. Watch out for bicyclists.

Nice short hike. My two sons 9 & 14 acted like we just hiked the Appalachian Trail

Did this hike at the same time that I did Nitro North and the Black Trail. All three trails equal about 4 miles. All the trails in Talking Rock Nature Preserve are new and in great shape. Great trails for all families and hikers of all ages.

Nitro North is approximately one mile long and can be accessed from parking lots at either end. This trail also connects to the "Black Trail" on the northern end of the trail and to Nitro South on the southern end of the trail. All the trails in the Talking Rock Nature Preserve are new trails and I believe they were all created by volunteers. We actually saw a team out working on new trails while we were hiking. Whoever created these trails they did an EXCELLENT job. Suitable for all ages. There is about a 180 foot elevation gain from the southern end of the trail to the northern, with the high point being the northern end.
