Photos de randonnées en VTT à Almont

Three of us set out to backpack this trail in three days, 6 miles per day. We’re all under 35 and in good health from CO. We camped on Wednesday near the stream at deadman’s gulch trailhead, there isn’t really a trailhead for Italian creek trail (however, there are lots of camp sites along the cement creek road leading up there). Then we hiked 8 miles (more than we anticipated) mostly road to start- going clockwise around the loop, until we reached the spring creek/bear creek intersection around 2pm and camped there Thursday night, plenty good camp spots, incredible views. Friday we stared to hike around 7am. Made it to the bear creek/deadman’s gulch intersection, arrived by noon (mostly open- not great camping spots) and decided to complete the trail that afternoon. Arrived back at trailhead by about 3pm, for about 10 miles on our second day. Afternoon thunderstorms, thank God we had rain gear. Lots of motorcycles and mountain bikes. All the trails are marked well and easy to follow. Bring some type of foot wear for multiple stream crossings. Overall, a great trail!!
