Not overly difficult but definitely not easy for amateur hikers. Some steep inclines and goes off trail.

This wasn't much of a hike.. goes uphill for a little on a paved road, then has signs that prohibit trespassing (still walked past the open gates, but makes me feel uneasy!) but the road ends abruptly. The unpaved dirt trek is clearly marked a little bit, but the downhill is very unmarked. The hike still has really nice views of the valley, but there are better and longer hikes than this one.

Nice little trail when there is no parking at Runyon. Wish it provided more of a workout. I do agree with others about the dogs off leash. Wish people would keep their dogs on leash if they aren't friendly. Great for bird watching.

Great short trail with an amazing view. Unfortunately there are lots of off leash dogs which makes walking it a bit more difficult. Otherwise great, also limited parking.

Parking on residential streets only, then walk up to a locked gate. Enter on foot only around the gate. The trail is a paved concrete road leading up to LADWP “private property”. However, the views are incredibly. Ignore the No Trespassing signs in order to go to the top. I wouldn’t call this trail easy as it’s all incline. Moderate is more accurate.

This is not an easy hike. It's starts with an inclined trek up a paved service road. The trail head isn't clearly marked. Once we found it, based on our gps point on the map, the trail isn't well established and the topography is hilly (although it does skirt the area labeled preserve). We ended up turning around due to the level of difficulty and barely visible trail.

Nice little brief hike. Very few people on it which is a plus and decent views of the city. Could be done in only about 30 minutes if you are non-stop so probably not the best if you are looking for a longer hike. There is also a lower trail that you can walk to add more time to the trail but it leads to a dead end at a private fenced property, so you have to circle back after which isn't a big deal. The route to the lower trail is fairly overgrown with flowers until you get down from the hill, after that it is pretty open

Be respectful of the locals. Views of both San Fernando Valley & LA.
