Black Canyon of the Yellowstone, starting at Blacktail Deer Creek Trailhead, ending north of Eagle Creek Campground. Last 2 miles of the trail, when you leave Yellowstone National Park, is confusing as it's been rerouted around some private property. Head uphill, following Bear Creek for a bit, then uphill toward the road.

Pretty in parts but nothing spectacular. Most guidebooks will say it's all downhill, but there are some moderate short uphill segments when you're navigating around bends in the river. Last 2 miles of the trail, when you leave Yellowstone National Park, is confusing. Just north of the bridge crossing Bear Creek, there is an arrow directing you uphill rather than the established trail that sidehills back to Gardiner. Not sure if this is where the old private land rerouting starts, but it's confusing. You go uphill and then I think you follow the creek for a little ways before switchbacking uphill. We got turned around at the second arrow sign and decided to just go straight uphill. We ended up on some private land I think, because we had to jump a couple fences to get back to the road, but we made it back without too much hassle.
