I just wanted to comment because I avoided doing this trail for a while due to the previous review stating that it was hard to follow at times. I frequently hike alone w/ just my dog, so I’m cautious about these things. I’m glad I finally decided to do it because it’s really a uniquely gorgeous trail! As of Jan 2020, there are fresh yellow trail markings. I had absolutely no issues following the trail once I found the start! I have a map that makes it look like the trail starts from the road, but you have to walk up the gated driveway to the camp and it’s on the other side of the building. I felt like I was intruding, but I’m not sure if it’s a private camp... it’s clear that it’s in use, but no one was there and there weren’t any no trespassing signs or anything. But yeah, from there it was very easy to follow. I followed it all the way past Ben Jacobs to the MST - it does narrow and is kinda overgrown in sections after the Ben Jacobs intersection, but the markers are still clear. At the top, I turned right and followed the MST (gorgeous section with several scenic views) to loop back via Ben Jacobs. Before taking Ben Jacobs, I continued on the MST under the 322 tunnel and up to Laurel Run Vista, then came back - with that added, it was a 7 mile hike.
