Great conditions the day before the storm -- perfect weather, very little wind. Icy in spots, only used microspikes and was fine -- went around one small section about 2.4 miles up

It was beautiful day yesterday and good hike. Trail to summit was completely covered in snow.

Awesome hike! Did this hike for the first time last November. Got laughed at in the parking lot for wearing shorts and a long sleeve shirt (I always carry extra layers and pants) by a group putting on snow pants. Don’t be morons like them. Start adding layers as you ascend closer to the summit. Nice, challenging hike for your quads. I recommend taking a quick break at the hut before you take on the last leg of the hike. Weather can be unpredictable at this elevation and you may encounter hurricane force winds so be smart and watch your step. Unfortunately, there was no view (literally could not see 100ft in front of you) when I reached the summit because of cloud cover. Still definitely worth the hike and I passed the morons on my way down as they weren’t even at the hut yet.

2nd time around the loop this season and I’m beat! The legs can’t take much more....Beautiful day up Bridal Path and Down Waterfall. Almost kept going onto Shining Rock but back tracked to Waterfall. Ran out of water decending - so definetly never underestimate this hike. Most beautiful views in New England. Get out and hike!

Cold blustery day - in the 40s, raining. Did not summit. Mrs Doktor and I had soup in the hut and went back down. Others braved the loop up falling Waters over the ridge and down from Lafayette - but we, although well equipped, opted for safety. The Old Bridle is a great ascent with excellent ledge views (if you are not standing in a white, raining gale, and fun short scramble or two. Lovely...even in rough weather.

Fun trail for a good workout. The trail has some challenging terrain with a few scrambles. It can get slippery in parts if it has rained recently. The summit was very windy and foggy when I went, so be sure to bring an extra layer.

We hiked this trail to the Greenleaf Hut. The trail is in decent shape. Smooth sailing until you reach the Agony Ridge about 2.4 miles in. This is a use your hands and watch your footing climb in sections. The hut is a great stop before summiting to Lafayette.
