I already can not wait to return to this trail. The views are the best part. For the entire walk you can look out to the west and see Lake Tahoe. It was a very easy walk. Paved the entire way. It is also fairly flat. There are just a few simple inclines on the north end of the trail. There are plenty of places where you can access the shore if you’d like. There were a few icy patches along the trail but nothing that posed any problems.

Great trail! Would be really nice if keywords like "Sand Harbor" and "Incline Village" would help find it on your program, I bet nobody would ever think to search using "crystal Bay". Finally, zooming in on the map does nor usually bring y=up this awesome trail on the list.

Developed and paved. Very well traveled and lots of bikes. Many families use this trail/path for their young child or children and hence always avoiding bikers. Not a great pure hiking and enjoyment because of this. Good for families and older hikers who may not be in much shape but want to be outdoors and see the beautiful lake. Bring water. Some rest stops w/ restroom facilities. Bring a sweater as it can get windy and cool.

My husband and I rode this trail with our street mountain bikes and the scenery is absolutely gorgeous. Nice paved smooth trail the whole way. The only reason I did not give this trail 5 stars is because the amount of people walking the trail... and the majority of them do not look out for you. They don't steer to one side and you have to literally apply your brakes and lose your momentum trying to maneuver around them... trying your best not to to crash into them. Crusing downhill is wonderful (since we are beginning novices) and this trail actually was a bit hard for us on the steep inclines (having to get off our bikes and walk) but other than that we would definitely do it again... especially when we're better and more in shape! Again, just amazing views & stunning scenery!

Newly opened in June 2019, this trail is flat with gorgeous views of Lake Tahoe and offers access to several very nice beaches.

This is a paved path with very short trails down to hidden coves and overlook points. It's pretty spectacular, great for early a.m. run. Later in the day bused-in groups and cyclists dominate and, while mostly respectful and courteous, there's always that one cyclist who's got to be a jerk.

This a paved, pretty flat trail. There are multiple access points to get down to the lake. It really is a nice trail! There are a couple stops with bathrooms and fix it stations for flats if biking. They are planning to have this trail go all the way around the lake I guess. That will be really cool when done. There is a parking lot. Parking is free now but it will pay to park eventually.

Aside from the obvious....stunning views of Lake Tahoe....too many people already using this trail. It's going to be like S, shore in no time. I finally found a spot to cool off in the lake that didn't already have people, and after a short time other hikers were coming through and a guy with a droan about 2 feet from me that quickly ruined any serenity. If you bring a dog, beware of super hot spans of the steel bridges.

Beautiful new trail that winds along the shore to Sand Harbor. Spectacular views all along. Fantastic view points with gorgeous and low granite walls. Meticulous craftsmanship on the walls and the concrete walls along the road side. Very little shade so it can get quite hot and warm weather. great hike for all ages. Heavily trafficked.
