Almost didn't do this trail due to some of the reviews saying it was just like the drive. But so glad we went - it was truly amazing! We parked at the Loop, thumbed a ride (and met some awesome folks) to Logan's and started the trail at 1:30 (yup, late folks) and ended at 6:30, taking it slow but sure. Would love to do the Chalet sometime. Did not do the 0.6 mi excursion up as we had just done Grinnell Glacier and needed to save the ole knees. We were thankful for that decision the last 4 miles - which were hard on the bees knees! But we saw deer, big horn sheep, and a grizzly (my first encounter w/one and it was awesome!)! I would not recommend this trail for those scared of heights, but for those that are attracted to them like a magnet, this is the trail for us!
