Great place to go camping and a little trail riding. Definitely don't bring a brand new BMW like this one guy did lol.

it was a very nice drive. Beautiful streams nice people gorgeous scenery. the road was not too rugged never needed four wheel drive. I believe even a PT Cruiser was out here. lots of bumps in the road but it was fun. Well-maintained no ruts no massive boulders a few rocks

Good ride yesterday. This is like an unpaved, relatively less maintained road. So cars will be ok. Like others noted, there are camping sites. We stopped at a couple empty sites. Saw one other car. I missed the link to the Buck Creek Trail. I need to zoom out better when searching :) That was a different bear.

Many campers on this trail. Some camps looked like they had been there for a while. The road itself was sometimes rocky, but mostly an easy drive for my unmodified 4x4 on street tires. I don’t think I ever had to use 4wd. Thick fog near to the top and a few downed trees but they had already been sawed and taken off the road. So many butterflies it seemed like a butterfly sanctuary.

First time on the trail with a Jeep and it was fun. Some down trees but it was cut and easy to pass through. Would do it again.

Another nice trail. There was a fallen tree at the top by where the Amicalola hiking trail, and Old Bucktown Road intersect with the trail so have a plan.

1st-your going to be driving on a gravel road to the trail head so low to the ground cars, not recommended. It was a great trail for exercise. Met a number of people once we got to the top. I would not recommend for small kids unless your wanting weight resistance training as you will end up carrying them. I saw this happen with some that brought their small kids. So warning on that part. Wear proper foot wear. All else is good.
