I grew up in nearby Wilton but haven’t lived there for 20 years. I was visiting a friend in Danbury and wanted to explore something in the area that I’d never done and could do easily before leaving the state. I chose this based on the good reviews. I enjoyed it overall and would frequent it if I were local. Pros: pretty, quiet, opportunity for solitude (I only saw one other person on a weekday morning in August), a lot of different birds (herons, swans, etc) Cons: overgrown with thorns, grass, and other plants in several places, making the loop difficult without risking cuts and ticks (which I did but am used to doing as an avid hiker) Because of the overgrown spots, I’d recommend this more so in non summer months.
