I was surprised by how picturesque and beautiful this park is at certain spots. The birds, the bridges and fountains made for a nice walk. I almost gave it 3 stars but the graffiti, dirty water, and homeless encampments can't let me recommend it to someone.

For its location, right near downtown, it was a nice way to spend an hour. Birds were amazing, variety galore. See picture I uploaded.

A very nice little walk in Boyle Heights: views of the DTLA skyline, lakes and bridges, lots of birds, and playgrounds and a skate park for the kiddies. Great opportunity to be outdoors in this under-served part of town. If you want to extend the walk, Mariachi Plaza is not too far away on 1st Street, a great place to people watch.
