Short and sweet, urban hike that showcases multiple beautiful views of Oakland, the Bay Bridge, SF and the Golden Gate Bridge. The first 2 minutes start with an immediate incline, optimal for those working on firming up their buns of steel. Make sure to wear your hiking shoes. There are a lot of partially covered rocks I tripped on and some parts of the trail was a little muddy - probably good to not go after any rainfall. There were a couple cute benches for nice views of the GG Bridge and the city. We accidentally veered off path a couple times, but very happy we did since there’s a nice lookout mound around .8 mile (keep going straight instead of taking a left). Just be careful for a few alluring off-path trails that you might tempt you to follow it. You still can hear the low hums from the highway, but it’s a good trail that’s super accessible and will give your a decent cardio workout. Highly recommend for folks to who want quick hike and a good spot to show off to out of towners!
