As has been said, the trail is not well-maintained. There was no way I was going to be able to run this trail. There is a makeshift wooden slat bridge about 500 feet or so in, and it seems to connect the two ends of the loop on the north side. I decided to take the loop counter-clockwise (to the right and west) and came to another fork another 500 or so feet farther. The right trail of this fork was very steep, so I chose the left one, thinking I might be able to run a little of it. It was very rocky and may have been a dry creek bed. I followed this left trail about another 300 feet and it just ended in impassable brush. I retraced my steps back to the fork and started the climb up that right, west side (which I'm guessing is the farthest northwest point of the trail loop on the map). I made it up that steep slope for another 400 or 500 feet and realized I was out of time. Turned around and came back.
