This trail goes along the coast. They often lie on resting rocks near the beach. When you turn inland you can continue towards Småryd, a few kilometers from the trail. Here, Mediterranean feel awaits with views of the sea and the curvy Italian road. Åsens northern slope has exceptionally good conditions for vegetation and you pass both the Norrviken gardens and a grove with orchids at the entrance. Leave the asphalt and go up a winding path. Soon you reach the England Valley Nature Reserve, a geologically exciting place with grazing animals. Here there are fractured valleys with 30-meter-high rock walls, racetracks and a stream that created a deep gorge in the ground. The name Båstad comes from "Botstaedae" (boat site). King Kristian I had heard of all the oaks of the hill, suitable for shipbuilding. In 1450 he bought the land and built a harbor with its associated town and church. If you want to experience the city's older parts, Agardhsgatan, the square and the harbor are suitable targets. As you travel through the city you pass several exciting cultural-historical sites. Mad stones were erected during the Iron Age, but the story of the stones, the overthrown king and the horse originated from the Middle Ages. At the harbor you walk past the tennis facilities and a couple of blocks away is the tennis museum. In the 1930s and 40s, Båstad became tennis with the outside world and class players such as Borg, Wilander and Edberg have all proven themselves here. The town of Båstad is also associated with the weaving mill Märta Måås-Fjetterström and slippers. An elongated elevation adorned with cannons is Båstad's bulb. From this, they scared off attacking Russians in 1788.
