This trail takes you up the Hallandsåsen. The ridge soared in connection with a sharp collision between Europe and Africa about 80 million years ago. Then Skåne was covered by a shallow sea and the bottom was shaken by earthquakes. The Urberg cave Snibe estuary is collapsed but inside there is a three meter high floor. In an 18th century work, the cave is described extensively enough for 20-30 people. It was probably formed during the end-time of the Ice Age. Melt water that trickled down into the chilly bedrock froze again and burst the rock. When you have passed the cave and the steep slopes await heather with views and lots of lingonberries. At the southern slope of the Hallandsås, deeply carved ravines are found. Most impressive is Trollehallar with the talk of the hidden Snapphanestall. At Stavershult just next door there are ridges, hills and terraces shaped by ice rivers when the ice sheet melted. At Store Ömosse, peat was broken into fuel and litter for the animals. You see long-sleeved peat graves and left peat banks as you walk across the bog. In Björsåsa-Bälinge Nature Reserve you can see how much of the ridge looked earlier. When the trees stood sparsely, the animals grazed and the heather spread out. To keep the heather fresh and tasty, the ground was burned at regular intervals. Snibe cottage has been home to the giant woman Sniban and most recently to a soldier during the war in Skåne. Right next to the trail, on the border between Skåne and Halland, there is the block Bockasten. For a long time, it was an important landmark between Denmark and Sweden.
