This spectacular trail to Norway's tallest peak Galdhøpiggen starts from the Juvasshytta and crosses the glacier Styggebreen which requires a guide and safety line. It is usually done as an in-and-out hike.

I would recommend this hike to people who want a challenge up but amazing views at the peak

This was a hard but spectacular hike with the amazing glacier crossing and the stunning views from the peak, where snacks, soda, and hot saft can be bought. Note that my recording is not symmetrical about the peak because I made a couple of up/down walks between where we hooked off the safety line and where my wife was sitting.

Rocks of varying size from small to large boulders. Little to no dirt. Summer temp around 18 to 20C. Recommend trail guide in order to cross large glacier safely as they state there is a risk of falling into a glacier crevasse and the guides are familiar with the optimal crossing points. No trees and little to no wildlife but view from summit allows 360 panorama of highest mountain peaks in Norway.
