Sandvika is the town of Bærum and the municipality's largest commercial, service and cultural center. The town is beautifully situated by Sandvikselva, right by the outlet to the fjord and with green-clad hills in the background. The round offers shopping, recreation, cultural monuments and rural surroundings. The trip is approx. 7.5 km without detours. The tour starts at the Tourist Information Center at Sandvika Storsenter. If you do not have a bike, you can rent one here. Start at the main entrance to the center of Claude Monets Allé. Set direction north-east, cross Sandvikselva, take the first left onto Løkketangen. You come to Elias Smith's way. Straight ahead is Løkkehaven, with the cast iron bridge Løkke bridge, immortalized by Claude Monet in 1895; small wooden houses with gallery, handicrafts and cafe; and the chess sculpture by Sverre Hoel. In Elias Smith's road, turn right, then the first opportunity right again over Rønne river. This is a small wooden bridge for walking and cycling only. Follow the river south. Here are nice cafes and restaurants. You pass Bærum town hall, designed by Magnus Poulsson, completed in 1926/1960. At the town hall, the statue Freedom and fountain stands, both by Arnold Haukeland. Continue straight on to the Cadet tong. Here you can have a cup of coffee at Artista Gallery Cafe, look at the ferry boats Rigmor and Rigfar, sit on the guest bridge or go over to Kalvøya which is known for its festivals and beautiful hiking area. Follow the cadet tongue around. Back in Sandviksveien, turn left, just across the bridge, take another left and follow the river to the south. You come to the driveway park. At the far end of the fjord is Kjørbo farm, which is Sandvika's oldest, built in the ancient Iron Age. You pass the police, a circular parking garage, Thon hotel Oslofjord, Sandvika Storsenter (one of the largest shopping malls in the Nordic region), and again come to Sandviksveien. It's time to speed up the pedals. Turn left and follow Sandviksveien approx. 1.4 km. At the first roundabout, keep right up Slependveien. After about 1 km, you come across Slependen limestone kiln from 1914. The limestone kiln is used as a symbol of Bærum's municipal weapons. If you want to visit the Tanum medieval church, take the gravel road to the left, halfway out on the plaint. If not, continue straight on to Bjørnegårdssvingen. Cycle across the bridge, keep right along the pedestrian and cycle path. Cross the river once again, and fit Sandvika high school on your left. You have come to Løkke bridge and Løkkehaven where you can end the trip with a party "outdoor jacket".
