A trail of grass with a beautiful view over the Zwarte Meer. But first through Vollenhove. You are in Flevoland directly over the bridge over Lake Vollenhoven and walk across the first grass dike east of the famous Waterloopkundig Laboratorium. That lab was sitting and sitting in Delft, but if you want to build scale models, you need a little more space, and that is here. You can walk along the watercourses here. The lab was a nice boost for Kraggenburg, one of the pioneering villages of the NO polder. It brought more prosperity to the village. By the way, Kraggenburg is the spot name of the old light house that was surrounded by kraggen (turf) that had to prevent the silting up of the mouth of the Black Water. Tolls were levied on the Kraggen Castle, resulting in a major scandal, because most skippers bypassed the castle at night. As expected, the route is surrounded by a lot of water: Lake Vollenhoem, Zwarte Water and Keteldiep form the fringes of the islands, which are connected to the mainland with many works of art. The trip on the Zwartemeerdijk takes a long time, but there is much to see in the water and birds. Halfway through you will see the Ramspol Bridge, which is constantly open. It is the new bridge. Fortunately the old one was still there. You will also come across such an observation tower (see 139.Schoonebeek / Gramsbergen). At the Ramspol bridges you also see the Balgstuw. This is a weir, which inflates like a (cylindrical) balloon at high tide and serves as a flood defense. He only had to blow himself up a few times for the 100 million Euros. Because the new Island Bridge over the IJssel is not allowed to be crossed by pedestrians, you have to make a detour along the Noorddiep and Kampen, which is not a punishment, because you are walking here through the IJsseldelta to one of the most beautiful Hanseatic cities in the Netherlands.
