Walking in De Kring van Dorth. A varied walk, which has been given a tail, because the bus stop in the Wippert has been canceled. That meant a diversion to Laren (Gld), which results in a walk that is at least as beautiful, but has consequences for the follow-up routes. Especially when leaving the authentic NS station in Deventer, enjoy the beautiful old town and the IJssel. For hundreds of years, cake has been baked in Deventer by the Bussink family. They are no longer in the city center, but they are still baking and it is Deventer's thing. Through the grass quays the view of the IJssel is beautiful and via the Schipbeek you continue along the border. De Schipbeek was an important transport river for textiles and other trade for the Hanseatic cities. Then the route takes us through De Kring van Dorth. An estate that you normally never hear of. It was until recently an independent congregation and at the time of the Castle the Lord had the right to life and death. So there was a gallows field. The castle is no longer there, and the manor has been there since 1930. The path around the estate (and provincial border) is beautiful. Via unpaved paths (Knippeldijk) the route then goes to Laren which is known for its forests and estates. In this area it suffocated from the railway lines. Even in Haren there was a railway that ran from Zutphen to Oldenzaal. The connection and the station have disappeared and because the provincial border runs between the lines.
