Start this circular route in Tillington at the Horseguards Inn. Head west along Cemetery Lane and turn right across the street from the cemetery towards the vineyards. Once past the vineyards, turn right and walk north towards Upperton Common. The route takes a short trip through the holly and beech trees before entering Petworth Park. In the park, you will circle a small pond and possibly even see the herd of fallow deer that is the oldest and largest in the country. After exiting the park, walk back to Tillington along the road until you arrive at the All Hallows Church. Be sure to stop by the Horseguards Inn for food and refreshments!

This is a very varied and interesting walk. I loved the mix of wooded areas, paired with the beauty of Petworth Park. The walk around the lake was particularly stunning. There are some steeper sections which required a few breaks to catch breath, but generally, loved this walk and would so again.
