Interesting hike. Highlights were the Weir, Glacier Rock & a few Stoney Creek river crossings, a great place to replenish water supplies, but I would not be attempting after substantial rain. The rain forrest is beautiful with lots of wildlife. The track is well maintained & signed. The photos & the description of this hike indicate seeing Barron Falls but this hike doesn't go anywhere near there so a bit confused there? Saw lots of cassowary droppings but unfortunately no sighting on this particular hike. The last section of this hike brings you out at a bridge which you will drive past to start the hike at the parking lot. The last track section coming down the hill is very steep so I'd recommend shoes with good tread & because of this I personally would not be attempting this after any rain. All up it took me 4hr 40mins & a total of 14.8km but I did take a few little detours. Sitting in Stoney Creek at the very end was fabulous & very well earned :)

This is a hike for those who want to see the falls from above and below. The last 1/8 of the hike follows a road in order to get back to the parking lot; otherwise, you can backtrack on the trail to the parking lot (adding another 3 miles). Best time of the year to see it is during November through February. Incredible flora & fauna.
