Photos des randonnées dans le Drakenstein NU

Absolutely enjoyed this hike late last year (2019). It was steep and hard in the beginning but got better midway to the end. There are many loose, small rocks that are slippery, so be careful not to fall and/or break a leg. The trail is also filled with dense vegetation at the beginning making it difficult to walk past; this vegetation is unfortunately also 'thornlike' meaning that if you wear shorts you might look like you were at the battlefield at the end of your hike. I loved the idea of having a visitors/hikers book on top. And the 180° view of: Somerset West /Stellenbosch, Cape Town, Paarl and Wellington is breathtaking! I would highly recommend that you try this trail out! Just make sure you start early! (we started around 6am).
