This place is perched above the Danube on a wonderful little bend. Great historic site as well!

Strbske Pleso - Popradske Pleso - Hincove Plesa - Koprovske Sedlo - Koprovsky Stit Moderately trafficked trail from Strbske Pleso parking lot via Tatranska Magistrala towards the Popradske Pleso. Then it’s a lot less people towards the Koprovsky Stit. It’s not a trail for the faint hearted. I’d say it’s also for a moderately experienced / experienced hiker as the trail from Koprovske Sedlo towards the Stit is fairly difficult. I’d definitely recommend good hiking boots as the scramble through the rocks can be dangerous if wearing only trainers. Views from the Koprovsky Stit are absolutely stunning with an amazing 360 panorama. Took me just over 6 hours on the sunny October day.

The hike is great but heavily trafficked. it is even hard to find a spot on the summit. But the view is well worth it.

Great views and variation in the hike

Tough Ascent but good views over the ridge about 3/4 of the way up which make it worth it

This hike was nuts! Very challenging, very rocky, but completely worth it. It's a really long day hike, 4 hours up and 4 back minimum and not including breaks. You'll have to park on the road and walk to the trailhead via a paved road, it's very scenic. You'll head into the woods and cross over a river flowing out of the mountains multiple times. As you head up, you'll be on some rocky switchbacks to reach two lakes. From there the climb gets more vertical. There are some spots where you have to pull yourself up with chains and a few ladders. About 45 mins before the peak, there's a hut where you can get some hot meals, drinks, beers, and even souvenirs. I think you can stay there overnight too. There's an outhouse nearby. From there the summit is a tough vertical scramble on wiggly rocks, but you'll be rewarded with amazing views of Poland and Slovakia. One of the best hikes I've done!

Beautiful route! We took the cable car up and then hiked down past all the waterfalls. It rained on us the whole time but was beautiful nonetheless. Not too steep or challenging, but the paths are very rocky overall. Would recommend! :)

This is an amazing hike but not for the faint hearted! Incredible views, wildflowers and nature, but extremely steep hills, climbing rocks and with chains to help you. Plus ladders over water falls and more rock climbing on the way back down. Suitable footwear and clothing are a must! Plus water and snacks. It’s a stunning walk

Wanted to hike up to Rysy but at the only crossing on the entire hike I accidentally went left instead of right. I ended up at the summit of Vysne Koprovske Sedlo, which was also pretty nice.

Hiked this one in August of 2018 while staying at the Ginger Monkey in Zdiar (I think their guidebook named this hike the Saddle). Some tough ascents and thick fog starting out, but once we got above the clouds, the views of the surrounding Tatras were breathtaking. Relatively uncrowded trail until we reached the Green Lake, which had crystal clear water and more amazing views. Ate at the restaurant (maybe about 11km in), which had hearty Slovakian food and local beers. It probably took our group 8 hours for the entire loop, including an hour at the restaurant. Highly recommended for anybody in the region!
