Photos des randonnées dans le Spittal of Glenshee

A cold day heading out from Braemar but very crisp with clear skies. The ascent to the top is fairly steep but good paths make it more bearable. The views from the summit are worth the haul up with stunning scenery and Braemar down below. The return path was fairly steep and slippy before joining the main track past the large rock called lion's head before dropping down alongside the road and River Dee. Eventually the trail turns left and climbs again with fabulous views of Morrone with Braemar below. Follow the path back where it joins the initial ascent path before turning right and following back to the road into the centre of Braemar. A very fulfilling walk with various habitat and scenery throughout. We really did enjoy it and would recommend for anyone whose a keen hiker. We used gaiters and walking poles that certainly helped throughout. A pint and plenty of food in the Fife Arms rounded off a great day.
