Magnifique randonnée ! Un régal pour les yeux à chaque instant ! Attention, la remontée entre les deux montagnes est raide ! (Mais faisable) (On a oublié d’arrêter l’enregistrement mais le tracé indiqué par l’application est correct)

Very easy and very beautiful. You have to pay 75kr when the trail begins, but it is definitely worth it.

HikingGreat!

Really beutiful. It is a small easy hike although it is an uphill hike right from the start. It shows a little glimpse of how beautiful and harsh the Faroe Islands are. When you reach the top, you can hear the water bash onto the sides of the cliffs, amazing!

We took the ferry over at 0800hrs and were the only ones on it so we had the trail to ourselves! It was beautiful and a moderate hike, showing up in white tennis shoes and a dress jacket is not the best COA. There is a nice washroom before the trail and a small canteen in the town after the hike which was a nice surprise! Just ring the bell and a lady will come, they take debit and had hot coffee!!!! The hike involves some steep sections at the end for the epic photo so if you go on a windy day be careful! All in all one of our favs here in Faroe.

It's very easy walk - just check time of high and low tides to avoid stucking on the beach. And be careful with waves - I was taking pictures when a huge one appears and got me (my shoes and socks were wet - in the winter time) by surprise

An easy trail, quite flat for Faroese circumstances. The earlier trail recorded went over pasture on Oyndarfjørður side which probably does not please the locals. This one follows the marked route on the ground that might be tricky to spot in Oyndarfjørður.

Amazing views, totally worth it. Uphill the whole time, and quite steep at parts. Maybe because there aren’t trees and things for scale, it doesn’t look very long or steep just looking at it, but it is actually a longer and steeper hole than it looks. The first part is grassy and pretty easy. The next part is rocky with some scrambling involved, and gravelly at parts. Poles would be helpful up and especially down this part for someone with bad knees. The trail is marked with blue plastic poles until this point. You can’t actually see the summit until you get to the top of this rocky part, but it’s not too far or difficult from there, though very rocky and basically no real trail (no more blue pole markers either), you just walk straight up. The cairns to the left at this point will lead you to the cliffs of ennigsberg, not the summit. I recommend going up to the summit, then down the other side down the the cliffs. You can walk out on to them and it’s really beautiful views. Then from there you can follow the cairns back to the trail. On a clear day you can see six or seven of the other islands, really spectacular. I would allow at least five hours to include stopping to rest and appreciate the views take pictures, eat a snack, etc, and to walk out to the cliffs once at the summit. It’s strenuous at parts and you will feel it the next day, but I think anyone in normal health/fitness can do it, just might take a little longer for breaks and slower pace.

Realistically this is a moderate trail and not easy. Not one you can take your old mum to. The first steep climb is through very narrow paths with mud - careful as the mud is slippery regardless of how good your shoes are. Pieces of mud can suddenly slide down with you. Then going back down here is easier through the grass, watch your step. The plateau part has the same narrow paths and your feet will be on incline at all times - so prepare your ankles. There are lots of rivlets to cross/jump over which can pose some dificulty to some. The climb to the lighthouse is steep but easy and as the trail is drier. Overall great views, and so worth it.

Park down in town and walk to the red gate at the end of the road, then up the hill beyond (mostly sheep pasture). Note that this app (and our trail) indicate two paths — this is true but recommend sticking to the lowest one as the higher one starts/ends in a deep ravine that is hard to negotiate. Once you’ve come around the headlands, it’s a steep but straightforward climb up the hill straight ahead to the small lighthouse. The views are magnificent. Brave the high winds to walk out onto both ridges that stick out perpendicularly to the light house for different and worthy views as well. This was one of the busiest trails we encountered on the Faroes, with two or three dozen people spread out over the slopes in a shoulder season visit.

Stunning views at the end, beautiful hike until then. Absolutely recommended. If it has been raining, the initial ascent is very slippery! Also, the 'easy' rating is relative. Have been on 'moderate' hikes that were same level.

My favourite hike in the Faroes. Great excuse to visit another island and the views, as expected, are terrific. It's not very well signposted but not difficult to find with a bit of prior planning. Head through the gate at the end of the parking area and bear right over the hill to the old sheep pen. From there it's pretty much straight ahead and you'll see the lighthouse well before you reach it

Easy trail to follow with gorgeous views (like everywhere in the Faroes). Wear hiking boots for better stability - especially for the initial uphill from the parking and for walking out to the edge past the lighthouse.

Super easy walk along a beautiful inlet. Know the tide change or you won't be able to get out to the beach without trekking through some serious water.
