We truly enjoyed the hike, especially because we had the 1 mile extended version due to poor signage. The landscape made it hard to tell what was an intended trail, and what wasn’t. Again though, we loved the springs and streams. I have hiked a number of cedar glades and a lot of trails in middle TN, and this was a very unique landscape.

not much wildlife. trail could be marked better. 1/4 of the trail is drainage so bring your water proof mud boots if it has rained in the last week. no water features. all around a pretty boring hike. would be a great beginner trail or trail to take small kids if its dry. 2 different areas were incorrect or have been changed and not updated on the trail map. o and there is alot of piled up metal thats an eye sore and also old decaying fence rusting and rotting away.

So I’m only giving it three stars because yes there is some trash on the trail and it’s overgrown in places. Also, there aren’t a lot of “wow” views. Now that the complaints are out of the way.... I loved this trail! It’s a nice walk in the woods, pretty well marked, and I found it to be abundant with its beautiful solitude. I can’t wait to come back in the spring and see the wildflowers. It has a lovely variety of settings you get to walk through. I also borrowed a walking stick left at the beginning of the trail for my walk. A little mucky in places but that’s nature. I was the only one on the trail until a class of MTSU students showed up to work on a project. I brought my dog along and he enjoyed it as well.

Use the trail map as a guide, but follow the marked trail signs bc the map is inaccurate.

I thoroughly enjoyed this hike. It’s not the usual scenery of Tennessee, in fact at times I felt like I was in parts of Texas. The trails are easy and well marked. Some knucklehead dumped their bedroom furniture in the parking area. I don’t get some people. Very good place to go if you want to be away from everyone and everything only minutes from the hustle and bustle.

we definitely had the trail to ourselves. wish it was better marked in certain places. we did run into a group of horses all by themselves. had to run them off or I'm sure they would have followed us the whole time. other than that it was good!

Trail was in pretty good shape, but bringing a garbage bag next time for some cleanup. Discovered and reported to sherriff several used syringes by parking. Sheriff came out and cleaned up. Kids picked up a couple ticks even with lemon eucalyptus spray, so do a good tick check. Had 6 kids 3-11 yrs with us, they did fine.

Flat trail, cedar glades, open meadow areas and a few hardwoods. A large pile of trash, abandoned vehicle(s) near end of trail (if hiked clockwise). Recent horse traffic messed up sections of the trail despite sign that states horses not permitted which contributes to some muddy areas. Overall, not real inspiring.

Overall nice trail. There were a few places that weren’t marked well, but with the app we were fine. It was pretty dry for the most part, but if it had rained recently there would have been quite a few muddy places. They also had recently burned a lot of the land, so it wasn’t a great site. I think it’ll be very pretty once it grows back though. Easy trail overall. We took a 10 year old and overweight dog, and did perfectly fine. Very little incline. I can’t believe I didn’t know about this place.

Overall a great walk with the dogs! If it has rained within the past week, wear shoes you don't mind getting muddy. Follow the markings for the trail and you will have no trouble! Definitely one I will come back to so I can have a nice walk with the dogs!

Nice trail, little wet after it rained the day before. Could be marked a bit better. Make sure you bring your GPS and the app along for the walk. Scenery was nice and good for a family.

Cedar Glades is beautiful in a unique way. Don’t expect gorgeous views or spectacular waterfalls but Cedar Barrens like this give the hiker a unique look at grasses and wildflowers you won’t see on other hikes. Also an unexpected getaway in the middle of Murfreesboro. I advise going with someone who has been before your first time because the trail can be confusing in a few areas. Also not bad for trail running if you don’t mind the rocky rough terrain .

First time there with grandsons, we enjoyed ourselves. We look forward to going back.

Nice trail. Very private. My wife and I really enjoyed it. A gps helped us as 1 part of the trail looked like it split off but was a wash out. We found our way back by looking over gps. If it doesnt look like a trail, its not.

Very easy hike, nothing too special. It's secluded and quiet, yet very close to the city. A nice escape for some fresh air and privacy.

Really enjoyed this hike. Loved the seclusion but it is a little confusing. The trail is not well marked but my fiancé and I found our way. Would do this hike again!

I have walked this trail dozens of times in the last few years as it is only minutes from my home. I enjoy the seclusion and landscape. It has been overgrown this summer and the trail does not appear to be maintained with the frequency it was two years ago. Any reference to trash is referring to items discarded on the property decades ago. While not a perfect spot, I would definitely recommend it to locals.

A wonderful cedar glade habitat hike! A little elevation change but not much. Good loop but was closer to 3.8 on my gps. Didn’t see a soul so a great place to escape.

Good little hike. Would do it again sometime. My first time here. Was a little muddy but manageable for sure.
