Beautiful chilly day. Not a difficult hike for the kids, lots of fun.

Great trail! A little muddy at the beginning and end, but the main section was in great shape and had great views with the leaves off. A little road noise from 125, but not horrible. Found that someone had moved the trail sign near the end to route people on to the wrong trail- relocated to proper location!

A great trail, lots of beautiful trees, wildlife, partial lake views. Light traffic during the week days.

Just woods and you

Nice 3 miles hike. Mostly woods with a small view of the lake. The trails were poorly marked so we did the wrong trail. Not sure what trail we did but it was a blue blaze.

Nice views of the lake along the large creek inlet on the west. The trail follows the ridge up high and trees are mature. The rest is just woods. Busy with bikers after 6 during the week. The drive is now paved and so is half the parking lot.

Decent trail except for the markings.. Adena trail is blue and I kept seeing yellow bike markings.. I went counterclockwise and that trail starts off yellow so it was seriously confusing.. other than that it was an easy trail.. Hardly call this moderate...

Nice trail, good views of the lake this time of year. Mainly a mountain bike trail. Some muddy areas today. Poorly marked. My Garmin clocked 3.2 miles.

Started out on this trail and somehow ended up on the Buckeye & Perimeter trails. The trail marking at East Fork could use some upgrading. Other than that, was a great relatively easy hike.

Not a bad hike. Minimal views of the lake, mostly just woods. The path isn’t very clearly marked. We would have gotten lost had it not been for our map. Overall, just OK. Probably won’t be doing this one again.

Easy hike. Takes about 2 hours give or take. Was sloppy but I expected as much. Not very well marked, but that’s what gps is for. I will be frequenting as it warms up.

Slippery and slow but very technical for running.

Love this trail hiked it a few times, can get muddy during the wet seasons.

Not bad. I wish there was a decent map for the perimeter trail on here. I think it's 28 miles long.

Nothing to write home about, but some decent views. trail is poorly marked and a lot of horses and mountain bikes as well.

Good moderate difficulty trail. Not very scenic. Mostly woods - you do get a peak of the lake occasionally.

This is actually a mountain bike/hiking trail--a good long hike, with lots of twists, turns, dips and rises. It's actually a lot easier to walk on than the putative horse/hiking trail, which is all torn up and almost totally reduced to mud after it's rained; not so the bike trail, which keeps tolerably firm through most weather conditions.

Very good trail for casual hiking in the woods. Beautiful area with great opportunity to see wildlife. The route marked on AllTrail here is NOT Hopewell, rather its called Adena, which is more intermediate. Hopewell is marked white. Adena is marked blue.

Good easy trail. Shared with bicyclists and a small portion is also a horse trail. But well worth it.

Good mountain bike trails. although was a little difficult maintaining bearings. First time trail riding may have been a factor

This is probably my second favorite area to hike near Cincinnati after Caesar Creek! I'd have to look up all the trail names on their website, but there's a slew of them to get lost on heading east away from the Hopewell that eventually take you to the road that connects to the "beach". The backpacktrail continues over a road and several bridle trails while never retreating far from the lake, then curves south to a loop running near a few campsites. South side of the lake is definitely better than the north (no horses) and part of it includes the famous Ohio Buckeye trail (blue blaze) that circles the entire state. I'd recommend staying away from the Steve Newman perimeter trail as it's always muddy, overgrown and and nowhere near the lake when I've tried portions of it (green blazes). The PDF park map seems to suggest those two trails are the same but I know that isn't accurate. Anyone know where the trail crosses Sugartree creek on the southeast corner of the park? It actually ends at the lake's edge haha...
