Awesome trail, too bad it's only 1.4 miles long. The trail was well maintained for being in the middle of nowhere. The waterfall was awesome, the water was flowing pretty good. Definitely would recommend this hike if you're in the area.

I’m one of the locals near this area, having seen it for the first time about 12 years ago. Seasonally, it’s a really nice little spot. I’d barely call it a hike, but it’s on a small little off road footpath, so I guess it counts. It used to be in much better shape before city dwellers came and tagged some rocks and continue to leave little bits of trash, but it’s still a nice area. Best during spring for water flow. Definitely watch out for wildlife (snakes, possibly black bears, occasionally mountain lions in the area, ticks, you know, the usual) and poison oak. It’s odd how some people want to get away from the sights of towns and cities, yet they spray paint rocks and leave trash in some of the few places left that don’t already have that.

Beautiful and sunny..quiet no one there but me❤️ Easy hike.... go and stay the afternoon just to meditate and soak in the beauty of nature...just a few dear flies on the way there and no bugs bothered me near the falls

Previous reviews are spot on. Nice, short trail that is dog friendly. You have to climb down some boulders to get to the swimming hole which can be hard on the knees, but totally doable. We stayed at the first swimming hole where most of it was 7 feet deep or more - there was a little bit of a shallow area, but not much for the little kiddos. I would definitely go early. It was fine when we got there, but essentially three small armies arrived while we were there - some moved on to the other swimming holes, but it was interesting how it just all of the sudden got crowded.

Just over a mile hike . 3 wonderful swimming hole spots . We were the only people there from noon until about two but apparently it’s the locals swimming hole so I would come before three bc then it gets crowded. Very cute lil oasis though and my dog was in LOVE. Will defn be back

Really easy hike but make sure your shoes has some sort of grip if you want to go down to the water cos there is a quick few seconds where you have to walk down a steep part. WORTH IT. Not much shade once you get to the water so bring sunscreen

Roads are no longer maintained so it’s a bit of a bumpy ride for about 5 mins once you get out there but the drive is gorgeous. The waters so clean, and the water fall is beautiful. Plenty of spots around the water fall to jump in the water off of, its a great spot to know. 10/10 also, never seen any bugs in the water, was there June 6th 2019

It’s an easy hike. The only hard part is when you reach the waterfalls.. You have to climb rocks to get to the bottom. Also noticed that there were these tiny little black bugs on our clothing & skin after we got out the water. It’s a nice place for a swim if you’re camping in buck meadows.

I was a bit skeptic about this trail. I was also worried about directions. However, my GPS did get us right to the trail. It is a bit 'hidden' on the right side of the road and the road was a bit rough. There's a gate and the trail is right next to it, but it isn't blocked off. We went on the trail, and it was not too long. it was a pleasant stroll. Getting down to the waterfall and swimming area was a bit more of a climb but it was not to rough. The water was so cold but it was super nice since it has been so hot. There is a deeper end by the waterfall and a more shallow end that goes down into the stream. I would recommend water shoes! Only because we did notice some glass on the ground, so we kind of stayed out of the shallow part where we could stand (only because we didn't wanna slice our feet on anything that could be there) There was some graffiti on rocks which was a shame that ANYONE would do that to such a beautiful area. There was some trash (mostly like peanut wrappers?) and then some cigarette butts. It was a beautiful day, and we only saw people coming when we were on the trail back to the car. There were a trash bag and beer box by the spot I parked. It is a shame that people do not pick up after themselves. I will be going back again before it dries up. Next time, I will probably bring trash bags just in case there is more trash- and pick up any trash I see next time.

Nice short trail. Im 6 1/2 months pregnant and has no trouble getting there. we packed in a small. Icechest and snacks and spent the entire day swimming and playing in the water. We took the to and only ran into a few groups of ppl. locals told us its much more busy on the weekend. Excellent place to excape the heat of the valley.

Easy trail along a creek that leads to a small waterfall. Perfect for kids, and nice water hole at the end with some shiny metals in it.

I was really nervous the coordinates from All Trails weren’t right because to get there you have to take the most back country, pothole-riddled road with almost no one else around. And there’s zero reception. I went a day after a big rain, so couldn’t get all the way to the end- too muddy and not safe to get to the actual swimming hole, plus there was a fallen tree whose branches were blocking part of the path and I would have had to scramble up a steep muddy bit to get around- not worth it in the end. I turned around and came back. Still, not a terrible 35 min hike- the river and falls that you can see are gorgeous, as is all the vegetation. But I recommend not going alone (like I did, though I had my dog at least), not going after a big storm, and bringing a GPS just in case. Also TONS of poison oak. Tons. Right alongside the trail too.

I would recommend this hike for a family we were able to take our 2 year old down to the swim hole while mom and dad jumped off rocks into water. The hike was a little rough getting down to swim hole but with proper shoes you will be just fine. We got back on the upper trail and made it to Diana falls where water was rushing! There were so many little spots to explore off the trail we got to walk across the creek on a log, just watch out for poison oak and PLEASE pick up your trash! Go wander!!!

Amazing waterfall at the end of a easy trail. Parts are rocky with steep drops to the side so be careful with kids. We took 6 kids and four dogs on this hike. Kids did great. Dog went over huge falls as she ran ahead and got into pool at top. Was sucked over. Created some serious trauma as the falls in April are impressive. Thankfully she survived it! So keep dogs cans kids close. That being said.... amazing flowers and gorgeous river and falls make this amazing.

no waterfall, was completely dried up at the fall. All the cigarette butts and graffiti on the rocks ruined it for me. Felt more like i was hiking in a canyon in the city or something. Dont waste your time going here. Maybe in spring but even if there was water i wouldn't go.

Went with my daughter and 3 grandchildren ages 5, 9, and 10. The trail is easy until you get to the destination where the waterfall and swimming hole is. You just have to go slow and be careful getting down to it, but it was totally worth it. It was so beautiful and peaceful, I’m going back. Please take out what you bring in, there was a lot of garbage and broken glass in some spots.

The hiking part was really just following a short trail to a gorgeous swimming hole/waterfall! A great place for whole family, will definitely be returning to this spot throughout the summer!

The road in is a local back road, not well maintained but navigable. Look for the bent cattle gate with two large boulders (GPS led us right to it). Easy hike in with our 4 year old and 12 year old kids. A little steep at the end to a sweet little swimming hole. Wildflowers and butterflies were abundant. Watch out for poison oak. As always, please pack out what you bring in.

Great little day hike with a cascading water falls and swimming holes throughout. I would rate the hike down as an easy hike. Not too over-crowded and you’ll be able to find a peaceful spot without too much trouble if the main water fall is crowded. Great jumping options rated beginner to expert and as of the first week of April ‘18 the water isn’t as cold as you’d think. Get in! Highly recommended for single, double and family groups. Will be coming back to this beautiful hike/swimming hole.
