Great trail, friendly people, moderate terrain — sweaty! Careful on the pine straw.

Great trail. Well marked. Peavine Falls are just about dry due to the drought.

Took the blue trail from the north trailhead to Peavine Falls. From there we took White Trail to the Red Road and camped at Backcountry site 3. Beautiful day, the trails are great. Campsite is nice. Awesome. We will be taking the white trail back to the north trailhead the next day.

This is my fave trail at Oak Mountain. It gets steep at places but there are several overlooks along the way. Taking the turn to see Kings Chair is a must! And you get to see Peavine Falls at the south end! On weekends, if you start at the north end, it can be crowded the first 1.5-2 miles while you hike with all the others headed to Kings Chair. After you pass Kings Chair, the traffic is almost nobody.

North Trailhead straight up the Blue in all its steepness. Stupid hot and humid day but had great conversation with my buddy John as we took the Blue to the Orange and down the White. Accidentally took the White turn to the cabins at the bottom and added another half hour to the trip.

I’ve hiked this trail with my boyfriend and just did the same route alone. Started at the North Trailhead meaning it was a serious uphill hike right from the start. Bypassed Eagles Nest overlook and stopped at Kings chair. I had limited time and King’s Chair is my favorite. Stayed on blue to Orange Bypass. Was looking for the marker where the bomber plane crashed but must have missed it. Returned on Red which is a bike trail. Dry season so the regular spots where there was running water was dry. Very few people on the trail. None after I left King’s Chair. It was a great hike.

Parked one car at the Peavine parking lot. Second car back to the North Trailhead. Up the Blue in the super muggy humid 93 degree joy known as Alabama Summer to Kings Chair. Great view but super sun exposed and hot at the top. Blue trail in the shade the entire way across the park. I like the traverse here on the Blue better than the White just due to the shade. Took the Blue/White connector down to the creek and finished the trail staying to the right at every fork. The last quarter mile was a brutal straight uphill assault but we survived. 7.8 miles of awesomeness hanging with my great friend Holice. Will definitely do this again soon.

good workout getting up the mountain, definitely worth it once you're up on the ridge

Awesome workout. Starts off rough coming from the north trail. Ran/walked/hiked from the gate to Kings Bridge lookout and back. The view is worth it. Yall weren’t lying when you rated it “difficult.”

The overlook is something you don't wanna miss out on!! Make sure to make your way to the falls because it is beautiful. The views are definitely worth the challenge

Beautiful scenes, some parts test your abilities but this is a fairly easy hike. I'll be back soon, loved the overlook views!

Relatively easy out and back. Moderate elevation change worth a puff or two. Fun trail with wildflowers so "stop and smell the roses" along the way.

Nice trail with some steep incline but lots of soft pine needle trail as well.

I hiked the northern half of this trail, then used the Orange connector and the white trail to loop back to the trailhead. Don't skip out on the King's Chair, Eagle's Nest, or the other periodic overlooks because they offer some of the best views in the park.

I hiked this trail yesterday. The first 1 1/2 miles were tough, all straight up. There were a lot of tree roots and loose rocks. I did first half of the blue trail, the orange connector and down the white trail.

Hiked this trail yesterday with my GF, we had one light pack and some walking sticks. We started at the north trailhead and hiked the blue trail to Peavine Falls. The beginning part of the hike was strenuous with many steep climbs and drops. Once you get to the halfway point you are going along the the ridge of the mountain and the trail gets much easier, pretty much downhill from here. Good trail, we did the white trail on the way back from the falls and is a more scenic route.
