We have put together a walk through the local situation Heimbach, in which we have interwoven some historical events and dates. The path starts at the railway station or at the parking lot Laag, runs over the Hengebachstraße to the mill, follows the pond road to the Vogtplatz, crosses the Hengebachstraße and leads through the round arch into the courtyard of the art academy. From here we can take the elevator barrier-free up to the castle. After the visit to the castle we take the elevator back to the village, or go down the main access road to Mariawalder Straße. With a short detour we reach the square "Am Giebel". Back to Mariawalder Straße we follow the footpath to the Rur on the opposite side. Continuing downhill, we come back to our starting point. The sights (waypoints) can be found in the flyer below, which you can print out and take with you to accompany the walkers. You will also receive this flyer in the Nationalparkt in Heimbach am Bahnhof.
