A pleasant one-way walk from St Ives (via the Warrimoo Track) to Mt Ku-ring-gai station. It follows Cowan Creek and traverses Bobbin Head, where you can stop for a coffee or snack...

Bit of a brutal descent down into the river basin for trail running, but once down there some quality trails to run on. Careful of various rock gardens that suddenly pop up as a rolled ankle down here will cause major issues. Ran at 6am on a Saturday morning and had the trails all to myself. There are a few areas of the trail that obviously are under water at some stage, including a dried up waterfall that I can’t for the life of me, work out how you’d cross if it was roaring with water! Still, great trail running and the climb back out was particularly taxing!!
