A great walk - one of the best creek walks in NSW. Crystal clear water, swimming holes, cascades, red fungi, magic.

Just like Coldplay’s ‘the scientist’ - nobody said it was easy, nobody said it would be this hard.’ Oh take me back to the start. That’s what my girlfriend and I were thinking all of the last 4km leg of this walk. The track is not signed at all and has lots of tracks going all over the place. We got lost several times. Towards the end of the walk, following the creek as the map says - the track fades into the forest and we were left guessing. We followed the creek upstream, got very lost and almost didn’t make it back before sunset. The forest floor (an hour in) is actually stunning - a rich forest with archways of Palm Trees. It would be great after a month of rain, but the entire creek bed was dry. It’s steep, dry and hot bushland going down to the creek bed also. This track could be enjoyed, but be well prepared - enough time, food and geographical knowledge would be strongly recommended.
