This large, spacious reservoir on the high plains draws locals and tourists alike from May through September and waterfowl hunters during the hunting season. North Sterling State Park is a gateway to fun and relaxation. Elks Campground is open year-round. A boater's paradise, this large irrigation reservoir offers great coves and fingers to explore during the spring and summer months. The marina concession has closed its business at North Sterling State Park. General camping supplies, bait and fishing licenses need to be purchased before coming to the park. The Visitor Center has many items available for purchase, including shirts, jackets, and windbreakers, as well as firewood, bottled water, sodas, bagged ice, bait (seasonally) and other supplies. Salida fácil y posterior. Sin embargo, no hay sombra a lo largo. Vio mucha vida salvaje a lo largo de todo el camino.

Sendero fácil y plano con excelentes vistas y mucha vida silvestre. Hay bancos para pararse a tomar un refrigerio y hay un baño al final del sendero que es increíble.
