Nature tripsGreat!

I did this route anticlockwise and it was glorious. The views at the top are lovely. A good mixture of open fields, forest and a little bit of village life.

A really lovely trail, that takes you up to spectacular views at the top of the beacon. A very friendly area as everyone welcomes you with a pleasant greeting along the route. Note the car park which the directions take you to is only for 2 hours so find a back street which is free for cost/ hours. Due to COVID wells are closed but can be seen through a gated door.

First 3/4 was fine. Going downhill at the end was a nightmare if you lose the track like we did.

Great walk on the hottest day of the year. We chopped the head off the walk to reduce it by approx 2 miles but loved the isolation and field walking aspects. Easy walk, there are some instances where the farmer has planted over the walk but easily sorted with a slight walk around on the edge of the field. Nettles in places so beware but we managed the route no problem. Abbey and town are very interesting and peaceful for just sitting and reflecting towards the end of the walk (15min walk then back to the car).

Really enjoyed the trail. A lot of different scenery from walking along the canal to walking through wheat fields, woods and sheep farms.

Clear marked out routes and easy to follow. Trail was lots of progressive upward hill walks or downwards so take lots of water and be prepared. Quite busy with walkers and bikers who were using the trail when we went. Some lovely quaint Cotswold villages and one could even stop off at the lavender fields enroute home.

The countryside is lovely. However the walk is overgrown with nettles and brambles in places but the biggest problem was the preponderance of stiles. Countless of the things - very few were dog friendly or short person friendly. Our 2 medium-sized dogs (15-18kg) were just about ok being lifted over - I couldn’t have safely done it but my husband is much taller. I’d enough difficultly hauling myself over - especially the ones I was too short-legged to straddle. if you’re considering taking dogs on this route make sure they’re small ones or you’re up for a weightlifting session.

Came back via the Cotswolds Way to turn this into a loop rather than out and back. Great walk, well worth the climbs for the views.

Fabulous walk. I did it in trainers with my dog. An incline half way through and then a wonderful stretch across the ridge with beautiful scenery. Well signposted, free parking and a nice dip in the river towards the finish

Got lost 6 times.... not very clear sign posts. About half way through, I had to go through a field then was told to go back on myself then I ended up near the start.... wasn’t happy.

This has to be some kind of sick joke. A ‘stroller-friendly route’ that involved walking your little one along fast country roads with no pavements, across ploughed fields (good luck if you meet the farmer), then down a private drive before climbing into a paddock with the owner’s horses... too idiotic to contemplate. We abandoned it half way having lost our appetite for risk. It’s not even particularly attractive—the most memorable feature being the power pylons straddling the ploughed field.

Completed this trail yesterday... was beautiful! Really lovely trail, we got a little bit lost and ended up adding a bit of milage on as ended up doing an additional bit! We parked in the wyre forest carpark (parking charges apply), theres also a go ape there aswell! Would highly recommend! Follow the blue trail to get onto the right track!
