Parked a piethorn reservoir(free) and walked to hollingworth lake .
was a pleasant walk and a good few miles in total after walking back .
Hollingworth lake was very nice with a cafe and a park for small children.
And on the other side of the lake was a pub and other places to eat .
would recomend this walk .

Took my dog on a walk around the shorter of the 2 choices - took around an hour as it suggests on the trail maps . Short but beautiful walk with plenty of opportunity to extend your walk following trails of the main one and also fields all around if you want to let your dog have a bit of off leash time .

Lovely walk, lots to see. Not too hard and free parking. Would go again.

Few hours walk from the selected beginning and back on the map, fairly flat until the final section.

Slight blip in the gps so not accurate but fun walk. Not very challenging, easy/moderate.

Pleasant walk but badly sign posted, on arrival nothing to let you know where to start, had to ask locals. Along the route also a bit of a guessing game, thank goodness for GPS otherwise very easy to get lost. This is in a Hunting area so get the feeling they don’t want walkers around, came across hunting kennels on route and they didn’t seem too happy to see us! Good views and varied scenery, streams, moors, woods and old Meltham Railway line.
