Great walk with the chance to veer off onto other routes. Plus a really nice little village at the back!

Parked a piethorn reservoir(free) and walked to hollingworth lake .
was a pleasant walk and a good few miles in total after walking back .
Hollingworth lake was very nice with a cafe and a park for small children.
And on the other side of the lake was a pub and other places to eat .
would recomend this walk .

We took our 5 year old on this trail and he coped with it very well, little big tricky in parts but generally a decent enough walk for all abilities. Nice clear day made for some great views across Wharefdale.

Took my dog on a walk around the shorter of the 2 choices - took around an hour as it suggests on the trail maps . Short but beautiful walk with plenty of opportunity to extend your walk following trails of the main one and also fields all around if you want to let your dog have a bit of off leash time .

Interesting rock formations and a nice hike, just outside of the city.

first walk in a very long time done in the snow and thoroughly enjoyed

Lovely walk, lots to see. Not too hard and free parking. Would go again.

Few hours walk from the selected beginning and back on the map, fairly flat until the final section.

Lots of various ways to shorten or lengthen this route. Perfect for novices. I took my 6 year old and he dealt with everything perfect. Nothing too tricky for him and likewise families going for a stroll. Lots of other walkers/runners.

Slight blip in the gps so not accurate but fun walk. Not very challenging, easy/moderate.

Great walk for my dogs. Do it weekly. Very scenic

Good morning hike. Set off at 9.30 and back to car for about 1pm. Used to go to blackstone edge when I was little but always parking at the otherside near littleborough. Cool to walk over the high bridge i drive under everyday on the m62 also, I always wondered how you got to it!

The walk and view was amazing would do it again the only thing I was disappointed with was it says on here the walk is over 7km when it was under 4km.
Would of been better if the walk was longer

a beautiful and gentle walk up an easy incline to a rewarding view at the top of the Moors.
you'll undoubtedly meet a kind person on the way as well.
be sure to hit the White Wells waterhouse while you're in the area. Darwin visited the house frequently to clean himself.
