nice walk

Lovely easy circular walk. Was quite muddy so wished I took welly boots and not walking boots but was very enjoyable all the same. Our dog is 15 years old so can't go too far but he had a great time and the pub at the end (The Worlds End) was very cozy and welcoming. We didn't eat but a lot of people were and the grub looked good.

Today three of us started the Sussex hospices Trail in Chichester. Although it is 1 December, the day was sunny and so it was fabulous walking along, starting with a stretch beside the canal. I had thought it was going to be a bit boring ploughing through muddy fields, but the walk is quite varied. The couple of miles through all the poly tunnel is somewhat boring but the scale of the undertaking is impressive. Directions are absolutely immaculate.

A tough walk , with some steep climbs, but rewarding views at the top from the ancient hill fort. We did it in late November, and there were some very muddy sections, as well as being windy at the top. Take layers. Dogs loved it.

A lovely walk with gorgeous autumn colors (late November). It was quite muddy but still doable without wellies (except the very last bit before returning to the car park - we walked on the road instead).

Lovey walk. Beautiful views over the Hayling Island and Portsmouth plus the South Downs. A great combination of woodland and open space. Very interesting to see Adsdean House and read about the history. Nice bonus is the Alpaca Sanctuary - closes on Monday and Tuesday - which store is open between 10-12. Really enjoyed this walk. Even in November it wasn’t too muddy (only around the farm).

Knepp Estate are undertaking a rewinding project. They have moved away from intensive agricultural production and now allow rare breeds of cattle and pigs to roam the estate. This approach has greatly increased the biodiversity of the land. There are also herds of fallow deer and a ground breaking white stork reintroduction project taking place. The best way to describe this walk is that it is mini version of the New Forest.

A lovely autumn walk with the dog. Easy to follow route, a little muddy in places!

I loved this walk but it does throw up the issue of difficulty. Maybe AllTrails should clarify difficulty or give more options. This walk is marked as easy and at 2.7 miles I didn’t find it difficult but this walk in certain conditions will not be described as easy by the majority. Particularly the climb up the stairs (or decent depending on direction) can be quite brutal.

pleasant Riverside walk to start, so nice and flat and fine to let dog off lead most of the way. black rabbit Riverside pub on the route otherwise pretty quiet. need to keep an eye out for cattle and sheep in some fields. Also a bank of swans which attracted the attention of our spaniel a bit too much. A small herd of cows were on the track at the halfway mark so had to double back.

Really lovely walk with the dog but very muddy after a wet week! Super easy to follow and a nice mix of woodlands, fields and nice views. Lots of off-lead opportunities for the dog.

Tried this walk today 23/10/19 and the route through the wood was totally sheep fenced and barbed wired off. No way mark or anything.

walked on 22 Oct 2019 weather was glorious. on reaching the folly found it to be teeming with ladybirds perhaps they were making the most of the sunshine. tea and a slice of cake to round off the walk. What a lovely place Slindon is and intend to return regularly, want to explore Northwood area and its wartime history.

A lovely little circular walk. We stopped off at Slindon Pumpkins which was a nice addition. The Forge cafe was a sweet stopping point also.

Beautiful walk, easy to park in the pub car park, a bit muddy but we had just had three weeks of rain so to be expected, good variety of animals, beautiful houses and scenery on the route. Easy to follow and loops perfectly back to the stunning Pub.

the walk is nice except when you have to walk alongside the road for a 1km. if you have a dog, it's not recommended

Can only be done at low tide and when you’ve had some dry weather. I did it on a wet October day and it was a mud bath ! There is actually quite a dangerous point on the northbound path when you have to turn right off the coastal path and head eastward back towards Chidham. You have to cross over a ditch where there are no steps or bridge , just a mudslide down into the ditch and another one out. Lose your footing there and at best you’ll get a very muddy bath at worse you could break a limb. On a warm summers day ...lovely, on a wet winters day just unpleasant! There is what seems to be a lovely dog friendly pub at the start/finish called the Old House at Home, sadly me and the pooch were so muddy and wet by the end of the walk I felt I really couldn’t inflict ourselves on their hospitality

Walking along the desserted West Beach at Littlehampton completely made this outting worthwhile but whilst I love field walking, I love my new boots more and decided that the heavily ploughed muddy field /not very well trodden path ahead was less inviting than just turning back on myself. That way I got a double helping of seafront and caught the sunset. I also stretched it out by continuing down the lane so all in all, it was just over 5 miles. Would I recommend it? Absolutely from a beach walk perspective, I loved every second of having a beach to myself! The field as someone already mentioned wasn't ideal and let the walk down.

Good trail. One problem - why are some of the top rails so high of some the stiles. Most of the party were fine but with hip problems at least 3 of the stiles caused some of us problems and detracted from the walk.. In some cases the step ups were too short, making it difficult to manoeuvre. Otherwise enjoyed.

Great walk . Lots of places for dog to run . Good variety of wooded areas and open fields. Will do it again in drier weather.

Beautiful and interesting easy route. A bit muddy but very well maintained. It took us 1:30 hours with a little break.

A very pleasant 2 hour walk with great views and a little muddy underfoot but with correct footwear this was not a problem.
