Length: 7.8 mi • Est. 3 h 50 m
A circular walk from the hamlet of Kingswood near Lapworth in Warwickshire. Starting at the Boot Inn, initially the route follows the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal, leaving this at Drawbridge Farm to follow a delightful section of the Millennium Way where you will be guided by the distinctive black Millennium Way waymarkers. At Irelands Farm the route leaves the Millennium Way following along some delightful paths, eventually to rejoin the canal where it passes beneath the M40. The route has a few gentle to moderate gradients and follows a mixture of towpath, field-side paths and tracks. You will need to negotiate some kissing gates, steep steps and footbridges plus 14 stiles (most of which are dog friendly, but there are two where dogs may need a lift over). You will be sharing some of the fields with livestock. Approximate time 3.5 hours. The Millennium Way is a beautiful 100 mile walk in the heart of England, from Pershore in Worcestershire to Middleton Cheney in Northamptonshire. The route was created by the 41 Club as a community project, with something to offer every walker or rambler across Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire. This is one of 44 circular walks, each of which incorporates a section of the Millennium Way and is published in partnership with 41 Club. Show more
