Lovely, relatively easy walk. Taking in the amazing cliffs and rock formations of Marsden. Then up into the hills with wonderful views of both Newcastle and Sunderland cities. Well worth 2 to 3 hours walking!

Awesome introduction to long distance through hiking. loads of places to stay (camping or B&B) plenty of historic sites. I sat in the highest watch tower on the wall eating lunch and a tot of Rum. Plenty of honesty boxes onto the west side of the crags. doing it again next year

The coastal path from the caravan site to Souter is closed. There is a path on the other side of the road that you can access directly at the end of the bridleway. The path takes you to Souter.

It’s a lovely pretty little walk. Stream runs along side your walk so its nice for the dogs. It’s never too busy either.

Nice for walking the dogs as the paths are wide but not much to look at. The woods are very enclosed. Walking back to the car park is all uphill so I hope you’re fit. There are many paths within Chopwell Woods so I’m sure there is much more to see then there is on this walk.

Part of the coastal path is closed due to erosion. Rest all great though!

was a little tricky to follow the route on my phone with all the paths. good mix with some hills, but there wasn't much variety in the trail just lots of trees throughout!

great piece of kit for showing good walking routes in your area.

a good walk best done over a week. first few miles from either end is fairly uneventful, but excellent views of countryside and the wall in between, with excellent stop off points and places to stay, such as florries bunkhouse, at Walton village. A must to tick off your bucket list!.

Another day of walking crammed with loads more walls and forts...be prepared dont follow the all trails app too closely on some parts as it takes you over a cliff...theres a much easier way down if you follow the path.

from collford or something like that to twice brewed...brilliant walk today...lots of beautiful views and lots of Roman walls...by far the best part to the week so far...tip.. pack light as there are plenty of stairs up and down the hills.
