Really great route for cycling, beautiful scenery. Path is a bit rough in places so not ideal for a road bike.

Really enjoyed this walk. Lots of variation along the way in terms of scenery and inclines. We stopped on the North Downs for a picnic which had amazing views.

Really enjoyed this walk, all of it is so beautiful. we got a little lost towards the end, but found our way quite easily. no toilets nearby. little parking in monyash

Really good walk but would not recommend doing in the winter as u walk up a stream and it can get really hard to cross at times. (i have fallen in a few times!) also a very very steep bit climbing up after u've climbed the stream so hard in ice ! views are amazing. overall quite steep, unsure if you'd want to try with baby backpack on.

There’s two walks here, the shorter of the two follows the left bank of the river underneath the viaduct and is a mixture of fields and lanes with several kissing gates which I was happy to lift our pushchair over! Eventually you hit Low Catton which you can either head into or bear left to follow a quiet road walk back into Stamford Bridge. I believe if you continue into Low Catton you can eventually cross the river and head back on the right bank into Stamford Bridge, but that’s another story and another review

Nice walk in the cool June evening sunshine.

lovely easy start along canal side, nice and gradual to the hill and then quite steep to the top but good distant views, picnic and then steep descent. Good level walk returning to car park.

Great trail and even better views of Hadrians Wall, Sycamore Gap and the old fort. One thing we will say: we are avid hikers and this trail does have steep sections, plus it’s quite long. For this reason, would grade at moderate rather than easy. A great hike to do while in the Hexham region.

Brilliant hike if you are training for a big walk. gets the leg muscles toned and the heart beat racing. is literally up and down all the way. makes you feel alive and knackered all the same. View at the end is breathtaking.

a beautiful scenic walk around nature. plenty of wildlife and flowers and birds to see. very calm and peaceful. the bridge at the beginning is out but you can either climb on and over or get your feet wet! just make sure phone is secure in pocket. not a breaking a sweat kind of walk but definitely one to try.

Lovely walk. Fantastic views from the top and on the way down. Anti clockwise probably easier than clockwise. No cows. Just sheep.

Fairly easy 2.5 hour walk. Some steep hills but nothing too challenging. Lots of road time, though traffic tends to be light to none existent. You pick up the start of the Cumbria Way on your return to Ulverston. It was a lovely afternoon out.

Wonderful walk with breathtaking views. Definitely recommend.

Walked slightly different route - from Standing stone car park and back through Macclesfield forest. Great views along the way, worth to take off road routes to avoid crowds on the stairs.

Very easy trail, ideal for families.

Amazing walk, stunning paths and trails to enjoy and Craft Brews is a must make stop, picked up a litre of their IPA to take with us for the remainder of the walk, yummy, especially if you stop by the river to enjoy your beer and the scenery.

great walk, but this is Surrey, not Hampshire as the title suggests

Not too far from home, this walk brightened up a grey day. Lots of open spaces, mixed with narrower paths alongside the river. Not too much people traffic, friendly locals and an added ruin bonus..

Great walk! Varied and instructions were easy to follow!

Great walk, trail easy to follow. Mam Tor very busy, a lot of large flies. Enjoyed full day, walking, resting and taking in the views. Some off trail paths you can use for different scenery.

A really lovely walk. Went right through to the beach. Such a great mix of open fields with fab views and peaceful woodland. Will be doing this again very soon.

Beautiful place !! So peaceful, lovely nature walks. Different routes to go. My 9 month old pup loved it.

Nice leisurely trail for family/dog walking

Lovely walk through woods and meadows, mostly flat so families should not hesitate. We decided to go “off piste” towards the end and across the clearing which was a nice little add-on.
