A long trail for a very few great views. Too much road.
Inaccurate figure - we’re more at 33k and just about 550m elevation gain.

A really enjoyable trail. Lots of great scenery. Sandy trails and dirt trails.

The sun is out! Great views and a bit of history...

Nice walk up through wooded area. Amazing views from the top on a sunny day. There is a cafe in the tower at the top but be sure to bring cash if you want that cup of tea!

amazing

My regular dog-walking route! Leashes are only required close to the cafés and car park. If you go off the paths and elsewhere into the great park like the Valley Gardens you need to watch out for additional dogs on leads signs. They’re mostly to protect planting, popular picnic spots and children’s play areas but be careful on bridle paths and dogs must always be on the lead in the Deer Park.

This is one of the many paths starting from Newlands Corner parking or bus stop (no bus on Sundays):
- there’s also one going east with terrific views before descending the hill down to the Silent Pool, then you cross the road and walk through the fields. This is the trail where Agatha Christie once mysteriously disappeared for 3 days.
- then there one to the west which shares the initial trail with the one mentioned here but then goes all the way back to Guildford and passes through a lovely forest with the flowers in full blossom during April/May.

Great walk and with a nice cafe at the start/finish

Perfect decent length family walk with lots of things to see and do all the way around (totem pole, ancient ruins etc). Can be done alone in 1h20m fast walking but a family walk of 2 hours or even 3 hours with kids. Three pubs near the outside of the loop so combines well with lunch.
