Mountain bikingGreat!

Great cycle trail I would highly recommend, you can park just outside Fairholmes car park along the road for free. The beginning of the route is on a road track which isn’t busy and is only used by other walkers, amazing views over the reservoir, then the route is an off road track for the way back - a few hills throughout but very enjoyable. The routes kilometres were also signposted which made it easy for us to track how far through the ride we were. There are options to make this route even longer and carry on towards Ladybower may try this next time! We went on a week day and it was busy but mostly with walkers so I can imagine it’s very busy on the weekend. This route was much more enjoyable cycling it would be a long route to walk. There are toilet and food facilities at the car park also.

I would recommend detouring into Brierley Forest Park to the fishing pond on a nice day!

Good walk, real mix of paths, fields and grassy tracks. Lots of deer to see. Only downside was we decided to do it in 33 degree heat and shade was intermittent

Solid good walk. Some road sections and wet after heavy rain overnight but some lovely quiet spots. Few cows but no bother.

Fantastic walk. Really easy circuit but amazing views and quiet although it was midweek and can imagine it gets busy at weekends

Lovely walk with great views. You’re in the sun quite a lot so maybe bring a hat. We parked at the painswick beacon car park (free) and started the walk from there. Lots of varied terrain with fields/ forests/ few little roads.

I walked my dog around here the other day. Sadly, it’s ruined by all the rubbish people have left. Otherwise, it would be lovely. Slightly busy and small car park. Wouldn’t go again.

This was a great, very straightforward hike. Navigation was not difficult, and although the first mile is pretty steep, I wouldn’t personally have classed this as hard. Definitely would not try and do it in bad weather though as the top is very exposed! I get the impression this gets very busy - I started before 8am on a Monday and had the summit entirely to myself, by the time I came down it there were dozens and dozens of people making their way up and the parking all the way up the lane was crammed. It took me 2:45 in total, at a steady unrushed pace, but I did not stop at all.

Lovely with some stunning views. Some bits had to walk through little overgrown ferns. Good walk and quite strenuous on a very hot day.
