Quite easy to miss the start of the trail once you’re over the stile as it is quite overgrown but once you’re on it it’s great! The cave was amazing, glad it was nearer the end of the trail as it felt like the reward at the end for all the walking. Would definitely do it again!

We absolutely loved it here!! Amazing views we took a 4 year old and a 7 year old and they managed just fine would definitely recommend for families.

I good walk round the reservoir. All paths clear and grass cut..1 steep hill and plenty of steps to climb. also plenty of other things to do if not into lots of walking

What beautiful views, some really steep areas. Was a warm day therefore lots of water was required. Definately going back.

Lovely walk - stopped for a swim in the pools, cold but very refreshing!

Fantastic views! Traffic on the road back is a bit to put up with but views make it all worth it!

Not a bad trail at all! The hills to the north are pretty steep and the steps around Thor's Cave are slippery so I wouldn't rate this as an easy route. Sometimes you need to be a little explorative to find the public footpaths. Nice views and walks along the river.

Pretty nice walk around Titesworth Water with some great views. Easy for all levels

Excellent, really enjoyed it! Fabulous scenery across the fens. My only criticism would be, the walk is not very well sign posted and we struggled to find our way around.

Great walk. Even in the wind and rain. Beautiful views from the roaches and lud's church is a really special place. A must see. Moderately challenging but we managed with 3 children (12,10,6) - the ice cream van at roaches end really helped!

Enjoyed the walk, more of a work-out than we thought it would be (as wrongly assumed round the reservoir would be flat!). May 2019

We nearly turned back after crossing the stream as it was a steep climb, but glad we persevered as it was not too bad at all after this point. Fantastic views, stunning scenery. We felt we earned our lunch in Buxton afterwards! May 2019

Trail started well but following the loop anti-clockwise from the start it wasn’t long before, at the top of Soles Wood, the path cut across a field full of very jittery cattle. These days I’m afraid I don’t trust cattle and am far warier of them then I used to be. In any event with bullocks skittering about just the other side of the gate I decided it wasn’t worth the risk and turned back.

lovely views from the top

Good walk but I think part of the trail is private feel so we had to improvise... all part of the fun tho

Beautiful walk! The steep steps up to the cave are a little tricky for older people and younger children but we managed it with all the family. As others have said the cave is quite slippy and tricky to get in and out of but it is so worth it! Definitely a must walk.

I only came across the app this morning, found this route and decided to give it a go. The views are incredible, absolutely breathtaking. We only did the first loop as my dog was getting a bit restless as there were so many other walkers/dogs. Would 100% go back (just not on a bank holiday as was insanely busy).

Beautiful views, alot of stairs to go up but when you get up there the views are amazing! But to get in the caves isnt that easy as very slippery so I sat on the wall and slid my way up lol, brilliant place to walk the dogs!
