Nice walk, some parts are quite overgrown but enjoyed a Sunday afternoon stroll with lovely views.

This is a nice flat walk around the Reservoir with good views over the water and of the bird life there. Tip: you can park at Thrybergh Lane towards the "point" end of the Reservoir to avoid parking fees

It looks a quiet location with many paths. Concerned with the Private Property Keep Out signs. Not reassuring if visiting this location for a walk

This is an excellent circular walk from the lovely little village, ideal for novice walkers. The rise isn't too steep and the view from the crags are quite special if the weather is clear. Some parts of the second half of the trail after the crags are quite overgrown, particularly along the field edge off Hangmanstone Lane and the wooded area thereafter. Lots of bugs and nettles in summer too.

Easy flat walk good route options

Nice dog friendly walk. Plenty of bird/wildlife watching to be done. We did this at a nice leisurely stroll and took us 45mins. We didn't use the facilities but there is toilets, shop, cafe.

Lovely walk with fab views. However whoever thought to class this as easy needs to rethink it. Some steep ups and downs and the path is tricky in places.

Very nice walk and lovely lake to look at and dogs to play in. Shame about the £1.80 parking fee but are side streets nearby to park for free.

A great walk for people of all ages. Look out for the grindstones below as you walk past stanage edge.

Nice easy walk, run around the lake.

Fantastic views and a decent hike, few steep hills but was enough places to stop and rest. Absolutely idyllic!

A great route to walk or cycle.

amazing views ♥️ my favourite place.

Lovely walk with lots of paths to explore. Can be a bit muddy and marshy but a fantastic walk over all with lovely views.

Brilliant walk, just quite boggy on the return back from Stanage pole (an extra part to the walk) as it isn't a proper footpath.

Absolutely lovely walk. A mixture of of terrain, from footpaths to rocky inclines. the views are just absolutely stunning. Worth a trip. Note the weather was gorgeous when I went and because of that the car parks where really full.

Good walk, slight hills and rocky in places. Not very challenging but nice views and a nice pub at the end

2 adults and 2 kids with 2 dogs. Beautiful open spaces, plenty to look at and the stream/rocks/cliffs were great for exploring. We spent so long at the water part that making the rest of the walk wasn't easy for myself. Definitely need energy snacks and drinks in case you stop for a rest somewhere or even an explore. Can't wait to to another day.

great walk for the family and dogs.

It was nice and flat but there were too many loose dogs running around for me and people going around on bikes even though it is clearly posted no bikes. There are also blue-green algae warning signs in the area at the moment. However all that said it's a nice place with a lovely shop and cafe. Please be aware it is £1.80 to park.

It's a nice place to spend a few hours cycling or walking

Really enjoyed this walk, some beautiful scenery and a nice easy route to follow for beginners. We took our children aged 6 and 3 and they managed ( a little help for the 3 year old) to get around and loved it.

Brilliant walk. Took my working cocker spaniel on a running lead as he tends too pull. great views and challenging at times, one part was advised as closed but being the kind of guys we are we ignored this and was faced with a quarry. There are still ways around this for those that ignore the warnings. If you take a dog make sure to check from field to field before letting them off as we came across a bull and plenty of sheep. definitely do this again. ps. I did complete the whole route but only realised 4km in that this app had a record button. full trail recorded on my Fitbit!
