Park in a lay by on the A49 and head onto a public footpath, initially crossing farm land before reaching a trail. You soon find yourself at the foot of Caer Caradoc. A stiff walk up a steep section is soon rewarded with stunning panoramic views over the Shropshire Hills, classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. On the summit you find the remains of a Bronze or Iron Age fort. Continue down in a north easther direction, before turning west, contouring the hill back towards the A49. During the walk you will need to cross a few stiles. And unfortunately the last section runs right next to the busy A49.
