Enjoyable walk - a long stretch on tarmac roads from Thorpe Mandeville to Upper Wardington, otherwise excellent

Lovely Sunday afternoon walk. Completed with tea and cake in a Burford cafe.

Easy and pleasant walk, quite nice views on a beautiful day

This is a lovely walk and a good mix of woodland and open space.

Nice 10k loop, good mix of terrain (field 75%, road 20% and forest 5%) and some nice views along the way.

excellent for the kids, with great views!

Idyllic scenery, a nice mix of hills and flats, maybe a bit too much roadway to get top marks and there is one part where the charred path is no longer accessible. St Oswald’s church is a jewel.

A straightforward route, no need for regular checks of the phone. Beautiful swathes of bluebells in the woodland near the end. Recommended.

I was concerned 2 miles would be too short, however its a perfect walk for a Sunday afternoon stroll. Its a beautiful wood. The bluebells were lovely too.

Very muddy on the riverside sections. As usual, using the app on my phone made pathfinding really easy. Beautiful warm late November day for us - walking in shirtsleeves - short sleeves at that!!

Worth noting that most of section 1 of this walk is very very overgrown, sturdy footwear and long trousers needed. The path through the corn field in section 2 doesn't exist, requiring a long track through whatever tractor tracks you can find.

Have done this walk twice in the past week, once with a friend and once with a group of Nordic walkers. It was very enjoyable both times, directions are easy to follow and the walk is so beautifully quiet; very little traffic noise and no other walkers. The woods are stunning at this time of the year. Refreshments at 'The Plough' in Finstock are highly recommended and the car park is very handily placed for start and finish. Thank you witneyman, I am looking forward to tackling more of your routes.

Abingdon is a lovely town full of history and of course the lovely River Thames. This walk has a good blend of town and countryside for everyone to enjoy.

This walk has a good mixture of local history and scenic views across the Oxfordshire countryside and the River Thames. It's one that I think we will do more than once.

We spent three hours on this walk in glorious sunshine, and it lived up to all our expectations from the description of the walk. This is a lovely part of Oxfordshire and the walk takes in riverside banks, wide meadows, woods and a long ridge to say nothing of two attractive villages (Minster Lovell and Crawley). We parked in the car park to the right just over the bridge in Wash Meadow in Minster Lovell and walked from there to the church and ruins and therefore did the walk in reverse. Can recommend The Lamb in Crawley for half-way refreshments! All in all a delightful walk.
