Great walk, not so easy. We took a few de tours but the scenery was lovely! Also the pub is at the beginning/ end! (Not the middle) if you start where the route says x

For anyone looking at this trail, it should be noted that, unless you are an avid professional at hiking, this is NOT a moderate trail. With deep bog trenches that throw you back into orienteering days of your youth and steep inclines/declines that just keep going, this trail would be more accurately described as HARD. Views are spectacular and bog crossing is fun for a while. Would highly recommend to anyone who is very into Tough Mudders.

Great trail with great views .

Every nice hike with great scenery and good photo opportunities. We stopped at the Vindolanda museum which was very interesting but it is easy to burn a couple of hours there. If you are starting out late in the day I would suggest going clockwise because it seems the wind picks up in the afternoon in this region and in this direction you will have the wind behind. At the end of the walk worth a stop at The Twice Brewed pub.

A Really enjoyable beautiful but fairly short walk through forests and over bridges with a lovely photographic waterfall as a payoff at the end ... it’s great for dogs too.

lovely walk with plenty of waterfalls to see. we extended the walk by starting at nearby Henselyside huts, made it around 6 miles round trip, but easy to moderate terrain meant no problem for our 6 and 8 year olds. play area in Bellingham was a nice bribe as the kids tired in the heat, quick stop there to replenish energy and the 1.5 miles back to huts became easy.

Great walk with a variety of trails. All trails track recommended cutting through private property so we extended the walk past the farm which made the trip a 8km trip total.

Took my (nearly) 5 year old and he managed it no bother. Trail conditions are good with lots of bugs and flowers to keep him entertained along the way.

challenging climb with an 18 month old in a backpack. good distance, well recommended.

Wonderful sections of wall on this stretch of the Wall. Some steep bits. Some steps.

Not the best for dogs, multiple fences

Not ideal for dogs as I had to lift 30kg Labrador over multiple fences, luckily I have been going to the gym.
