Really enjoyed this route, running next to a golf course through fields of cows and lots of gate jumping. Definitely felt the burn on some the hills. Be nice to go back and do it when the pubs are open

Hard going to complete all 3 Peaks in one day. Tough terrain and hard on the body and mentally. But completed as a group of 3 lads and happy with a time of 10 hours for our first time from start to finish back at the car. Bucket list

The walk was good for dogs but it was not a very long walk if you like a short walk then it’s great. There was a little Car park.

Did the Yorkshire 3 peaks in horrific weather, heavy rain and low cloud. I say low cloud because at the top of all the peaks you could see about 30ft as we were in the clouds! It was hard to find the trig point on Ingleborough such was the poor conditions! Coming down the trails were like waterfalls. Some of the last 4 miles the water was 10” deep with no way round. We had no views to look at and it was extremely hard work both mentally and physically. Thankfully the route is easy to follow or there is no way we could have done the walk and we are both seasoned walkers in the Dales. My wife did it again not long after with friends and had very similar conditions only this time with strong winds to accompany the rain! We intend to do it again when we know the conditions will be better and we can get the views which make this walk so special. Took 11hrs and given the conditions that was quite pleasing!! I could hardly walk the next day it took so much out of me, never been like that before after long hikes. So take heed of the advice and be prepared for all conditions, do not take this walk lightly, and pray for sunshine!!

Great trail, amazing views, few cow and sheep encounters. Very friendly nearby farmers. Highly recommend to all fellow trail walking enthusiasts.

This isn't a bad walk, although for me personally, I prefer walks with more to look at. 80% of the walk is just woodland and rocky paths with the remaining 20% fields with sheep! That said, our dog spent the majority of the walk off her lead and thoroughly enjoyed herself. If you want a walk that's not too testing, a decent length, reasonably quiet and one where you can let your dog run around freely, then this is a decent walk.

Beautiful views and a lovely walk but definitely prepare for the rather steep incline about 2/3rds of the way round.

Good little circular Easy to follow Go under the bridge and make a right to find the steps up if you don’t know the area Would recommend and will do again - probably ‘in reverse’ to finish coming down the river which was the nicer part

Good walk took about 90 minutes at a steady pace

perfect for a dog walk, great views and plenty a arable fields and meadows for dogs to run free, nice small lake foot dogs to cool off near the ruins

great views once you have climbed up from Pateley Bridge

Beautiful relaxing long walk, our dog could be off lead most of the way. A field with cows but they were fine with walkers and dog keeping their distance.

This is a great trail if you’re looking for a fairly short walk with plenty of ‘off-lead’ time for the dog and a great pub at the end. Well-defined paths that skirt the river Ouse for a good portion at the start ensure this is a really nice easy walk with fantastic views of not just the river but the surrounding countryside. Just be prepared for boat envy!

Beautiful walk, directions spot on. We have a working dog and he was off the lead 90% of the walk. Peaceful walk, will be doing this again.

nice flat walk on the banks of the river ouse

Great walk with a mix of open pastures, woodland and riverside. Lots of wildlife can be seen. Path conditions good nothing overgrown (Mid April). Took 4.5 hours with the family including a few stops to enjoy the scenery.

nice walk but some stifles making it difficult for dogs

Very nice long walk through the woods and then backfill following the river back into Masham

Enjoyed this walk. Would describe as easy not moderate. Also completed in 1h and 20. But overall really nice, and good views by the river

Nice walk along the river at the beginning, and across the viaduct at the end. A walk through a housing estate in the middle which was less pretty.

walked around Hayburn wyke number of times, lovely scenery.

Nice, easy walk that circulates Masham, following the Burn River and River Ure until entering the Masham Nature Reserve at Marfield Quarry.

Nice steady walk. Slight incline in some fields. Would be suitable for a child to ride a bike and a good walk for dog walkers

This was a nice gentle walk to do with a pushchair and a 7 year old.

Really simple flat walk with my 66 year old dad. Beautiful views and highly recommended.

Really nice trail and great views. We went on a really windy day and there was quite a lot of flooding around (not dangerous to us though) but it didn’t stop us. Beautiful views and the temple at the end of the walk was great. Highly recommended.

Fantastic walk, especially if your dog (like mine) enjoys a splash around in the water!
