WalkingOver grown

A lovely walk out, and no problems at all for the first 5 miles or so. After that though the trails were incredibly overgrown (potentially having not been used due to Covid lockdown restrictions?). At 5’2” if I had attempted to fight my way through I would have been invisible after about 5 steps in. Had to reroute and just followed the road back to Osmotherley - walk was a little longer than planned doing this, but still enjoyable

I think part of the route has now been diverted and there are no appropriate signs. We got lost and chased by a horse. Wearing shorts, not a good idea, badly scratched legs! Route needs up dating.

Walk starts out in Helmsley then goes up a trail along side a quaint stream. Once into the woodland you stay on a trail. We didn’t realise there were thousands of pheasants so ended up chasing my dog trying to get her back on the lead. Otherwise really beautiful walk & instructions were so easy to follow.

Amazing views from the top. Although I forgot to start tracking the trail, we started from the spacious car park and reached the top in around 2 hours. The climb is steep in the end, but it's well worth the view. We even managed to see the silhouette of Isle of Man. For the way back we followed the same route so we can see the Ingleborough Cave. Beautiful nature sculptures.

Great walk and the weather was great. Lots of flies (our daughter hates flies) but there was a lot of standing water so you would expect them to be around. Overgrown and muddy in parts but we’ve had rain and it’s growing season so not a complaint at all just an observation. Stunning views. Could make it as lovb as you want we had a map app which showed so many different routes. Beautiful and will definitely come back. We saw one couple and this is why we choose it with Covid 19 we wanted to be away from crowds. Parking in lay-by so easy. Our dog loved it as off the lead the majority of the way. Only thing is the cars can use some of the tracks but wasn’t a problem today. Fantastic walk all round

This was a must do walk which we started at Glasshouses. Plenty to see as you walk along by the river, when you climb up out of town there are some wonderful views. Quite a lot of walking traffic at the weekend but still a great walk

Wow Malham Tarn so much do, Janet Foss waterfall, legend has it Janet was the queen of the fairy’s and live in the cave behind the water fall, the pool below was traditionally used for sheep dipping, Gordale Scar waterfall, impressive, then the Limestone Pavement, anyone reckonise it? was in a scene in a famous film. 5.5 mile circular walk, moderate, saw loads of mums n dads with baby carriers, Great day out for family’s, a couple of nice pubs serving food, with excellent measures in place. 1hr 40mins away, parking £4.80 for the day

A nice easy trail, parking was a little tricky but there's some lay-bys which I used. High percentage of road walking.

Really nice walk on a well signed route. We parked at the Goathland visitor car park and followed the route anti clockwise which meant we finished in the village and had a breakfast at the tea rooms which had reopened after lockdown. The walk takes you through meadows, along tracks, by a river and eventually to the waterfall
